Description
Eight stylised low-poly vehicles for city builders, racers and casual games, every one with separate wheel objects pivoted at the hub, ready to spin and steer.
What's included (8 vehicles)
- Cars: sedan, hatchback, sports coupe, SUV
- Trucks: pickup (open bed), panel van, box truck (6 wheels), dump truck (6 wheels)
- Formats: GLB and FBX (with hierarchy), OBJ/MTL, plus the Blender source
Specs
- 1,120–3,368 triangles per vehicle (21,628 for all 8, the listed polygon count), one palette material (256 px albedo + emission for head/tail lights)
- Real-world scale in metres, +X forward, root pivot on the ground
- Wheels: hub pivots, spin axis = local Y, verified to spin and steer (±25°) without touching the body
Conventions
CONVENTIONS
Units: metres, real-world scale. Z-up with the vehicles facing +X in the .blend; GLB/FBX/OBJ exported Y-up (glTF keeps +X as forward).
Hierarchy per vehicle: empty root 'veh_<name>' (pivot = ground, centre of the footprint) ->
'veh_<name>_body' (identity) and wheel objects 'veh_<name>_wheel_FL / FR / RL / RR' (+ RL2 / RR2 on the trucks).
Wheels: origin exactly at the hub centre, spin axis = local Y (the axle), tyre touching z = 0. Rotate wheels about local Y to drive,
rotate the front wheels about Z to steer (+-25 deg clears the body). Left wheels show the rim on +Y, right wheels are rotated 180 deg about Z.
Material: ONE material 'VEH_Palette' + textures/veh_palette_albedo.png and veh_palette_emission.png (head/tail lights), 256 px, use Point/Nearest filtering.
Flat (faceted) shading. No interiors, no LODs, no colliders (use a box + wheel colliders). OBJ has no hierarchy (objects are kept separate).
Blender check (live Blender 5.2.1)
- Wheels (36): origin at the hub (0.0 mm), spin axis local Y, tyre on the ground (0.0 mm). Each wheel spun 360° in 30° steps and the front wheels steered ±25°, 0 body intersections.
- Re-imported from the shipped GLB (8/8), FBX (8/8) and OBJ (8/8) with textures; wheel pivots preserved in GLB and FBX (0.0 mm error). OBJ keeps separate objects but no hierarchy/pivots.
- Bodies: 0 loose geometry, 0 degenerate faces; the pickup and dump truck have 5 / 2 shared edges where touching parts meet (harmless in engines).
