The short version

  • No illegal content, stolen work, malware, sexual content, deepfakes, or hateful material.
  • No files for making weapons, including 3D-printable firearms and firearm parts.
  • No scraping, bulk downloading, fraud, fake reviews, or attempts to get around our systems.
  • AI-made content is welcome when it is disclosed honestly and doesn't infringe anyone's rights.
  • We remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules, and you can appeal our decisions.

This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.

1.Scope

This Acceptable Use & Prohibited Content Policy applies to everyone who uses AssetLoom, and to all Content, including Assets, previews, descriptions, profiles, reviews, and reports. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Creators must also follow the Creator Terms, and everyone should follow the Community Guidelines.

2.Prohibited content

You may not upload, list, sell, or post Content that:

  1. Is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity, under the laws of India or of the place where it is offered.
  2. Infringes intellectual property, including copyright, trademarks, design rights, or trade secrets, such as ripped game assets, models traced from copyrighted characters without a license, unlicensed fonts, textures, or samples, or branded items you have no right to sell.
  3. Contains malware or malicious code, including viruses, scripts or plug-ins that do something other than what is disclosed, hidden executables, or files designed to exploit software.
  4. Is sexual or adult content, including pornography, sexually explicit or suggestive material, and nudity. Narrow exception: non-sexual anatomical reference material clearly intended for art education may be allowed, at our discretion and with restrictions.
  5. Sexualises minors in any way. We report child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities and terminate the account immediately.
  6. Is a deepfake or impersonates someone, including synthetic media depicting a real, identifiable person without their consent, voice clones, likeness models, or content that misrepresents who created it or who it depicts.
  7. Enables weapons manufacture, including 3D-printable or CNC files for firearms, firearm frames, receivers, or other essential parts, magazines, suppressors, conversion devices, explosives, or other weapons capable of causing serious harm, and instructions for making them. Clearly non-functional props and cosplay items that comply with the law are allowed.
  8. Is hateful or violent, including content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, caste, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics, glorifies violence, or supports violent extremist or terrorist organisations.
  9. Harasses, threatens, bullies, or doxxes anyone, or exposes personal data without consent.
  10. Promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
  11. Is deceptive, including fake or misleading Listings, false provenance or AI disclosure, fake badges, or misleading previews.

3.Content prohibited under Indian law

As required by rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update, or share any information that:

  1. belongs to another person and to which you have no right;
  2. is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy (including bodily privacy), insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or otherwise inconsistent with or contrary to the laws of India;
  3. is harmful to children;
  4. infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights;
  5. deceives or misleads the recipient about the origin of the message, or knowingly and intentionally communicates misinformation or information which is patently false and untrue or misleading in nature;
  6. impersonates another person;
  7. threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security, or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states, or public order, causes incitement to the commission of any cognisable offence, prevents investigation of any offence, or is insulting to other nations;
  8. contains a software virus or any other computer code, file, or program designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer resource;
  9. is in the nature of an online game that is not verified as a permissible online game, or is an advertisement or surrogate advertisement of such a game; or
  10. violates any law for the time being in force.

4.Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  1. Scrape or bulk-collect the Service, including Listings, previews, prices, or user data, by automated means, except as allowed by our robots.txt file for search-engine indexing;
  2. bulk-download, share, or redistribute Assets, or share download links or account access;
  3. probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, bypass rate limits, access controls, or download protections, or interfere with or overload our systems. If you find a security issue, report it to support@assetloom.io and do not exploit it;
  4. access accounts or data that are not yours, or use stolen credentials;
  5. commit payment fraud, use stolen payment methods, abuse chargebacks or refunds, abuse promotions, or use credits to move value between people or launder money;
  6. manipulate rankings, reviews, or sales, for example through fake or paid reviews, self-purchases, coordinated purchases, or reviewing your own or a competitor's products;
  7. send spam or unsolicited promotions, or direct users to complete purchases outside AssetLoom for items they found on it;
  8. create multiple accounts to evade limits or enforcement, or use the Service after we have suspended or terminated you;
  9. use an Asset to train or fine-tune an AI model where its Listing prohibits this; or
  10. use the Service in any way that breaks the law or harms AssetLoom, Creators, or other users.

5.AI-generated and AI-assisted content

AI-generated and AI-assisted Assets are welcome on AssetLoom, on these conditions:

  • Every Listing must state its generation method accurately (for example: human-made, AI-assisted, AI-generated, scanned, procedural, remixed, or made from licensed source material).
  • You must have the right to use and sell the output under the terms of the AI tools you used.
  • Outputs must not reproduce protected works, trademarks, or the likeness or voice of real people without permission.
  • Prompts and workflows must state the models and versions they were tested with, and must not be designed to produce prohibited content.

6.Reporting violations

Use the report option on any Listing or review, or email support@assetloom.io. For copyright and other intellectual property complaints, follow the Copyright & Takedown Policy. For complaints under the Information Technology Rules, contact our Grievance Officer as described in the Terms of Service.

7.Enforcement

We review reports and use automated checks and human moderation to enforce this policy. Depending on how serious a violation is and whether it has happened before, we may:

  • ask you to change a Listing or Content;
  • remove or disable access to Content, or limit its visibility;
  • record a strike against your account;
  • restrict features such as publishing, purchasing, reviewing, or payouts;
  • withhold or reverse Creator earnings connected with the violation, as described in the Creator Terms;
  • suspend or terminate your account; and
  • report the matter to law enforcement or other authorities where required or appropriate.

We act on orders from a court or an authorised government agency within the time required by law, which under rule 3(1)(d) of the IT Rules, 2021 is no later than 36 hours. We act on complaints about content that exposes a person's private areas, shows them in full or partial nudity or a sexual act, or impersonates them in morphed images, within 24 hours of receipt, as required by rule 3(2)(b).

Where we take action, we will tell you what we did and why, unless doing so would be unlawful or would put someone at risk.

8.Appeals

If you think we made a mistake, reply to our decision or email support@assetloom.io within 30 days with the reasons. A different member of our team will review the appeal. You can also escalate to our Grievance Officer as described in the Terms of Service. This does not affect any other remedy available to you under law.
