Terms of Service
Last updated: , Version 1.0
The short version
- AssetLoom is a curated digital asset store run by Anirudh Negi, an individual based in India who operates AssetLoom as a sole proprietor. By using it, you agree to these Terms.
- When you buy an asset you get a license to use it, not ownership. The license type shown at checkout sets what you may do, and it is locked to your purchase.
- You pay with prepaid Loom Credits. Credits can only be used on AssetLoom and can't be cashed out or transferred.
- You must be at least 18, keep your account secure, and follow our Acceptable Use Policy.
- We can remove content and suspend accounts that break the rules. Indian law governs these Terms, but you keep any consumer rights you have where you live.
This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.
1.About these Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Anirudh Negi, an individual based in India who operates AssetLoom as a sole proprietor, with a business address at Faridabad, Haryana 121006, India (“AssetLoom”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). They govern your access to and use of the assetloom.io website, its subdomains, APIs, and related services (together, the “Service”).
The following policies form part of these Terms and apply to you as relevant:
- Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy
- Loom Credits Terms and Refund Policy
- Acceptable Use & Prohibited Content Policy and Community Guidelines
- Copyright & Takedown Policy
- Creator Terms, if you publish or sell content
- The license terms shown on each listing and at checkout (see Licenses explained)
By creating an account, buying credits or licenses, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.
These Terms are published as an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, including rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. They do not require a physical or digital signature.

3.Eligibility and accounts
3.1Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to create an account or buy anything on the Service. You may browse public pages without an account. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under the laws of India or of the country where you live, or if we have previously terminated your account for breaching these Terms.
3.2Your account
Accounts are provided through our authentication provider. You must give accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at support@assetloom.io if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Accounts are personal. You may not sell, transfer, or share your account, or create accounts to get around a suspension, limit, or promotional rule.
4.Who publishes the Assets
AssetLoom is a curated store for digital assets. At present every Asset is published by AssetLoom itself (shown as “AssetLoom Studio”), and we are the licensor of those Assets. If we later invite independent Creators to publish on AssetLoom, their Listings will say so, the Creator will be the licensor of their Asset, and the Creator Terms will apply to them.
We review Listings before they are published. Our review includes automated malware scanning, file validation, a quality checklist, and human moderation. Review reduces risk, but it is not a guarantee, and we do not guarantee that an Asset will suit your particular purpose.
Listings labelled as demo assets are examples published by us. They are not for sale and are not available to download unless the Listing says otherwise.
5.Loom Credits
Assets are priced and paid for in Loom Credits. Credits are a prepaid balance that can only be used to buy Licenses on AssetLoom. They are not money, cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for cash, cannot be transferred, and do not earn interest. Buying, spending, expiry, and refunds of credits are governed by the Loom Credits Terms.
6.Buying licenses
Each Listing shows the price in credits, an approximate equivalent in a fiat currency for information only, the available license types, and a plain-language license summary. Before you confirm a purchase, the checkout page shows the price, any taxes and fees, your credit balance, and whether the item is eligible for discretionary refunds.
Prices are set by Creators within limits we set and are calculated by our servers at the moment of purchase. If a price is displayed in error, we may cancel the order and return the credits. Your purchase is complete when we confirm it on screen; at that point the credits are deducted, the License is recorded against your account, and the Asset appears in your library.
Applicable sales taxes, VAT, or GST on credit purchases are charged when you buy credits, as described in the Loom Credits Terms.
7.What you get: a license, not ownership
7.1The license
When you buy an Asset, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide License to use that Asset on the terms of the license type you selected (Personal Use, Commercial Use, Extended Commercial, Editorial Use, or a Creator's Custom License). You do not acquire ownership of the Asset or of any intellectual property in it. Plain-language summaries are on Licenses explained; the full license text shown at checkout governs.
Every purchase records the exact license version you accepted. If a Creator or AssetLoom changes a license later, your existing purchase keeps its original terms.
7.2What no standard license allows
Unless the license you bought expressly says otherwise, you may not:
- resell, sublicense, share, or redistribute the source files, whether unchanged, alone, or in a bundle, pack, or template;
- upload the files to other marketplaces, asset libraries, or file-sharing services;
- claim authorship of the original Asset;
- use the Asset, or any part of it, to train, fine-tune, or evaluate an AI or machine-learning model, unless the Listing's AI-training permission allows it;
- use recognisable people, trademarks, or property shown in an Asset in a way that requires a release you do not have; or
- use the Asset in a way that is unlawful or infringes anyone's rights.
Commercial permission does not imply AI-training permission. Each Listing states its AI-training permission separately.
7.3When a license ends
A License ends automatically if the purchase is refunded or reversed (including through a chargeback), or if you materially breach the license terms. A License may also be withdrawn if a court, regulator, or a valid infringement notice establishes that the Creator did not have the right to grant it; in that case we will offer you a refund under the Refund Policy. When a License ends you must stop using the Asset and delete your copies, except for copies already embedded in finished work you distributed before the License ended, where the license terms permit this.
8.Downloads and availability
Purchased Assets are available from your library through short-lived, signed download links. Please keep your own backup of the files. We aim to keep purchased versions available for as long as your account is open, but we cannot guarantee permanent availability. If we must remove an Asset for legal reasons (for example, after a valid copyright notice), it may no longer be downloadable.
Creators may publish new versions. Whether you receive a new version depends on the update policy recorded with your purchase. Publishing a new version never overwrites the version you bought.
We may limit download frequency or volume to protect Creators and the Service. Automated or bulk downloading outside normal use is not permitted.
9.Reviews, reports, and other content you post
You keep ownership of Content you post. You grant AssetLoom a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, to format or translate it), display, and distribute that Content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Service. This license ends when you delete the Content, except where it has been shared with others, must be retained for legal or safety reasons, or remains in backups for a limited period. Creators grant a broader license for Assets under the Creator Terms.
You are responsible for your Content and confirm that you have the rights needed to post it. Content must comply with the Acceptable Use & Prohibited Content Policy and Community Guidelines. We may moderate, refuse, or remove Content, but we have no obligation to monitor it.
10.Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use & Prohibited Content Policy. Among other things, it prohibits illegal content, infringement, malware, adult content, deepfakes and impersonation, files for manufacturing weapons, hateful content, scraping, and fraud. The categories of content prohibited by rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 are prohibited on the Service.
11.Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the AssetLoom and Loom Credits names, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for Assets you license and your own Content, these Terms do not give you any right to use our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service, except as permitted by law. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
12.Copyright complaints
We respond to notices of alleged infringement and operate a repeat-infringer policy. Rights holders and users who believe Content was removed in error should follow the Copyright & Takedown Policy.
13.Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including our authentication provider, hosting providers, and our payment provider. Payments for credits are processed by our payment provider, which may act as merchant of record and may require you to accept its own terms. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
14.Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy. Before you close your account, read what happens to unused credits in the Loom Credits Terms.
We may suspend or restrict your account, remove Content, or terminate these Terms with you if: you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms or our policies; we are required to by law or by a court or government order; your use creates risk or possible legal exposure for us, Creators, or other users; or we reasonably suspect fraud, payment abuse, or unauthorised access. Where appropriate and lawful, we will tell you the reason and how to appeal. We may also discontinue the Service as a whole with reasonable notice.
If we terminate your account without cause, or discontinue the Service, we will refund your unused purchased credits. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including licenses already granted on their terms, payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law) survive.
15.Disclaimers
We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and to the extent permitted by law, the Service and all Assets are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that an Asset will be compatible with your software, hardware, printer, engine, or AI model, beyond what the Listing states.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, guarantee, or right that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
16.Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms; and
- our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (i) the amount you paid us for credits in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (ii) US$100 or its equivalent in Indian rupees.
These limits do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
17.Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless AssetLoom, its affiliates, and their officers, employees, and agents from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your Content, your misuse of an Asset outside your License, or your breach of these Terms or of law. This does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by our own breach or negligence. Consumers are only bound by this section to the extent the law of their country permits.
18.Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may change the Service, for example to add or remove features. We may also update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the Service before it takes effect, unless the change is required sooner by law or to address a security or safety risk. The “Last updated” date and version at the top of each policy show when it last changed.
Changes do not apply retroactively. In particular, they do not change the license terms recorded for purchases you have already made. If you do not agree to a change, you may close your account before it takes effect; continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
19.Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the next paragraph, the courts at Faridabad, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country where the law allows. Consumers in India may also approach the consumer commissions established under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at legal@assetloom.io so we can try to resolve the issue informally. We will respond within 15 days.
20.Grievance Officer and contact
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, our Grievance Officer is:
