How to use them
- Check scale first. Import one model and compare it with a 1 m cube or your player character before you bring in a whole kit. Each listing names the engines and formats it was prepared for.
- Set texture colour spaces. Only the albedo map is sRGB; normal, roughness, metallic and height maps are linear. Our guide to PBR textures in Blender, Unity, Unreal and Godot covers normal map conventions too.

- Read the README. When a pack includes one, it lists the import settings we used.
Licence
Free assets come with the same Standard licence as everything else on AssetLoom. In short:
- use them in personal and commercial projects: games, apps, videos, websites and client work;
- modify them as much as you like, and sell physical prints made from 3D files;
- no attribution required and no expiry;
- don't resell, share or re-upload the files themselves, changed or unchanged.

Questions
- Which engines do these game assets work with?
- Each listing names the engines and file formats it was prepared for. Our game assets use standard formats such as FBX, GLB and PNG, which Unity, Unreal Engine and Godot all import.
- Can I use them in a game I sell?
- Yes. You can ship them inside a compiled game on any store, free or paid. What you can't do is give away or sell the asset files themselves, for example in an asset pack or a public repository.
- Are these assets really free?
- Yes. They cost 0 Loom Credits. Sign in with a verified account, choose Get for free on the asset page, and it goes to your library like any other asset.
- Can I use free assets in commercial projects?
- Yes. Free assets come with the same Standard licence as every other AssetLoom asset: use them in personal and commercial projects, for yourself or for clients, with no royalties. You can't resell or share the files themselves.
- Do I need to credit AssetLoom?
- No. Attribution is not required, though we always appreciate it.
- Can I use them to train an AI model?
- Only if the listing says so. Commercial use does not include AI training, and every listing states its AI-training permission separately.
