Description
Shape Transitions: 20 Animated Wipes with Alpha
Twenty graphic shape transitions for video editors and motion designers. Each one sweeps three layers of shapes across the screen, covers it completely for three frames, then sweeps out to reveal the next shot. Drop it above a cut and you are done: the alpha channel does the rest.

What you get
- Colour versions in five three-tone palettes (sand, terracotta, charcoal, cream, sage, clay, slate)
- White-tintable versions with layers at 55 %, 78 % and 100 % white, so one Tint or Fill effect recolours all three layers to your brand
- Apple ProRes 4444 with alpha, 1920 × 1080, for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve and After Effects
- PNG sequences (RGBA) at 1920 × 1080 and natively rendered 3840 × 2160 (separate 4K download)
- index.csv with the timing and alpha checks
Timing
All 20 share the same timing: 43 frames at 30 fps (1.43 s). Frame 0 and frame 42 are fully transparent; frames 20 to 22 cover the whole screen (alpha 255 everywhere, checked on every file at both resolutions). Put frame 21 on your cut.
Quality
Every edge is anti-aliased and motion-blurred: each 4K frame averages 25 jittered position and time samples per pixel (144-degree shutter). The 1080p files are downsampled from those 4K renders, so they are smooth too. Alpha is straight (unpremultiplied).
How to use
Place the transition on the track above your edit with frame 21 on the cut. In Resolve, set the clip's alpha mode to Straight if the edges look dark. For PNG sequences in After Effects, import as a PNG sequence at 30 fps.
